“Sometimes the most dangerous situation is the one we didn’t prepare for." "Self-defense is defined as the right to prevent suffering force or violence through the use of a sufficient level of counteracting force or violence.” There are 4 Self-defense & Safety tips all people should know! The first one is to enroll in a Self-Defense class. Washington Township Police Department and Recreation, would like to introduce a “Self-Defense Class” to adults and seniors.
This class will demonstrate physical techniques, security tips, and how to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Instructors, Sergeant Brian Bigham & Detective John Wuetemburg will demonstrate helpful information that teaches a mix of physical skills and life lessons. This FREE course is offered on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 1 pm. It will take place at the Senior Center, 35 East Springtown Road. We only have limited space available so register before September 17, 2018. Must be pre-registered to attend by filling out a registration form and a hold harmless agreement. The forms can be emailed to recreation@wtmorris.net or faxed to (908) 876-0029.
