"Self-Defense for the College Age"

Washington Township Recreation

“Sometimes the most dangerous situation is the one we didn’t prepare for.” Washington Township Police Department and Recreation, would like to introduce a “Self-Defense Class” to College aged students. “Self-defense is defined as the right to prevent suffering force or violence through the use of a sufficient level of counteracting force or violence.” There are 4 Self-defense & Safety tips all college students should know! The first one is to enroll in a Self-Defense class.

This class will demonstrate physical techniques, security tips, and how to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Instructor, Sergeant Brian Bigham, will demonstrate helpful information that teaches a mix of physical skills and life lessons. This FREE course is offered on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 5:00 pm- 6:00 pm. It will take place at the Washington Township Police Headquarters, 1 East Springtown Road, Long Valley. We only have limited space available so register before July 29, 2019.
