Sign-ups For Kids' Tennis Clinics Open In Long Valley: See Details
Children ages 4 to 14 can sign up for summer tennis clinics at Rock Spring Tennis Courts, with deadlines coming up.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township Recreation has announced its 2026 Summer Tennis Clinics for children ages 4-9 and 10-14 at the Rock Spring Tennis Courts.
The program is open to children who are new to tennis and those looking to build their skills, according to the announcement.
For children ages 4-9, clinics are scheduled on Saturdays from June 20 through Aug. 1. The township said the program includes six sessions for younger players. Children in the 4-6 age group will meet from 8:45 a.m. to 9:25 a.m., and the 7-9 age group will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.

The 10-14 age group will have a weeklong clinic from July 27 to July 30, with July 31 listed as a rain date. Sessions for that group are scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. each morning, according to the recreation department.
Washington Township Recreation said all sessions will be held at the Rock Spring Tennis Courts. The announcement describes the site as a place for children to learn the game and meet other players during the summer program.

Families interested in the younger clinics must submit the non-refundable fee by June 16 to avoid a $25 late fee. Registration for the 10-14 clinic must be completed by July 23, to avoid the same $25 late fee.

The announcement also says families paying online should email a completed registration form after submitting payment. Online payments can be made through the township's listed payment link.
The summer clinics are intended to give children a chance to practice tennis in a structured setting over the course of several weeks or during a concentrated weekday program. Registration deadlines fall in mid-June for the younger age groups and late July for ages 10-14.
