Summer Science Camps
Chemical Wizardry: Get ready for a fun-filled “magical” laboratory experience Harry Potter style. Enjoy making flubber, silly putty, super high bounce balls, and more. Have fun making light inside of a glow bottle, a mushroom monster, play dough, glowing goo, and even a tie-dye style shirt. We will create atomic worm polymers and lava lamp like blobs. We will also demonstrate the big bang cannon, Diet Coke & Mentos geyser eruption, magic genie in the bottle and more. All campers will take home a mini-chemistry kit & recipe booklet. Please bring a 100% white cotton t-shirt by the second day of class.
“Chemical Wizardry” is for ages 6-12 and is scheduled for June 24 – June 27, 2019 from 8:45 am-11:45 am at L.V. Teen Arts Center, 212 West Mill Rd., Long Valley NJ. A non-refundable fee of $125 is due before June 18, 2019.

Drones & Flying Physics: Take to the skies with mini drones, quadcopters, and more! Housing a thrilling hands on aerial robotics platform. This camp is the perfect introduction to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this camp, safety is a priority as students learn to fly in first-person view (FPV), exploring the real world applications of drones. In Ready, Set Drone! Camp students go through Droneology, the online drone education platform, master basic piloting skills, construct an obstacle course to fly through and stage a final race to showcase their cumulative knowledge. Putting critical thinking to the test, the camp also has students brainstorm ways drones could be used for good, sketching out their ideas for new and innovative drones and drone uses. All students will take home their very own mini drone and flying gadgets made in class.

Junior Scientist summer program is all about making learning science fun! We’ll conduct a wide variety of projects and experiments such as: creating fun and safe chemical reactions that ooze, bubble, fog, or change colors; launching projectiles and exploring physical forces; constructing structures and building machines; studying Earth science and biology; tinkering with technology; and many more exciting engaging, and fully hands-on activities!
Junior Scientist Camp by Smarty Cat Kids is for grades 1-6 will be held from August 5th – August 8th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Schooley’s Mountain Firehouse, L.V. A non-refundable fee of $150 is due before July 19, 2019.
