Susan B. Anthony: One-Woman Show at W.T. Library
Actor Marjorie Goldman, of American Historical Theatre, performs as Susan B. Anthony on Wednesday, October 30th at 7 p.m.

LONG VALLEY -- On Wednesday, October 30 at 7 p.m., Washington Township Public Library will host "Susan B. Anthony: Failure is Impossible." Susan B. Anthony has been portrayed as a dour Quaker school “marm,” but in reality, this important suffragist had a lively sense of humor and a passion for justice. After teaching for fifteen years, Ms. Anthony began her 50+ years’ commitment to causes that included the abolition of slavery, women’s rights to their own property and earnings, and women’s right to vote, demonstrating a will unbroken by circumstance or obstacle. Ms. Anthony did not live to see women’s suffrage, but she knew not to give in, not to give up. This one-woman show will be performed by historical interpreter Marjorie Goldman, of The American Historical Theatre. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and is free and open to the public. Registration is requested at wtpl.org or by calling the library at 908-876-3596. Washington Township Public Library is located at 37 E. Springtown Rd., Long Valley, NJ 07853.
