Teddy Roosevelt Comes to Life in One-Man Show at W.T. Library
Actor Peyton Dixon, of American Historical Theatre, performs at T.R. on Wednesday, December 4 at 7 p.m.

LONG VALLEY -- On Wednesday, December 4 at 7 p.m., Washington Township Public Library will host "Theodore Roosevelt: American in the Arena." Actor Peyton Dixon, of American Historical Theatre, is Theodore Roosevelt. Bringing his vigorous persona (and his boisterous family) to the White House, “TR” helped catapult the U.S. into a new century. War hero to Nobel Peace Prize winner, naturalist to imperialist, The 26th President promoted progressive reform and stronger government control of business. Believing that the security of the American People would be achieved through leadership on the World Stage, President Roosevelt expanded U.S. influence around the globe. This program has been made possible in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities (NJCH). Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of the NEH or NJCH. Registration is requested at wtpl.org or by calling the library at 908-876-3506. Priority will be given to W.T. residents. Washington Township Public Library is located at 37 E.
