Three Pets Killed In Long Valley House Fire, Police Say
According to officials, three pets were killed in the fire, and the house was severely damaged.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Three pets were killed in a two-alarm fire that ripped through a Long Valley home on Tuesday, July 26, authorities said.
According to Washington Township Police Officer Mark Niemynski, no people were injured in the fire, but three domestic pets were killed.
The fire killed a dog and two cats, and the incident is still under investigation, police said.

The Long Valley Fire Company responded to the fire at 148 Stephensburg Rd. in Washington Township shortly before 12:55 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26. When officials arrived, they discovered heavy flames coming from the basement of the two-story stone-framed house, prompting a second alarm.
The fire was put out with the assistance of several fire departments, including Washington Township, Schooley's Mountain, Fairmount, Netcong, and Budd Lake, as well as the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company.
