Title Hunt Begins With Friday Playoff Game for Wolfpack Football
West Morris Central heads to Iselin Kennedy for opening round of Section 2, Group 4 playoffs.

They’re getting hot when it matters most, and readying themselves for a championship hunt.
The West Morris Central Wolfpack varsity football team may be the hottest squad entering the North 2, Group 4 playoffs, riding four consecutive wins, all with offensive outbursts and defensive shutdowns against division opponents.
Drawing the No. 5 seed in the tournament bracket, Central will hit the road Friday, Nov. 14 to take on No. 4 seed Iselin Kennedy at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinal round. A victory would pit the team against the winner of Colonia (No. 1) and Scotch Plains-Fanwood (No. 8) on Nov. 21.

An up-and-down start to the season turned into a month’s worth of wins for the Wolfpack, which dropped three of its first five games to Parsippany Hills, Delbarton, and Roxbury.
But Central has poured it on as of late, beating rivals Morristown and Mendham in consecutive weeks, followed by victories against Morris Knolls and Morris Hills.
