Unplugging from Technology is Topic of Workshop at Library

Spending too much time in the digital world? Join health and lifestyle coach Marian Carroll to learn how to establish a healthy balance.

LONG VALLEY -- On Tuesday, September 24 at 7 p.m., Washington Township Public Library will host "Unplugging from Media: A 30-Day Digital Detox Challenge." Social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), cell phone texting, streaming media binging, online shopping, internet browsing, online gaming, etc.: these are our new realities. Do you feel you may be spending more time living digitally than you should or would like to? You are invited to join this interactive workshop to explore and discuss the pros and cons of your current digital usage. Challenge yourself to do a 30-day 'Digital Detox' as a way to raise awareness and determine which media is beneficial in your life and which to pare down or eliminate because it does not serve you. This workshop is led by Marian Carroll, a certified holistic Health and Lifestyle Coach with a passion for optimal wellness.
