WMC Ice Hockey Skates Through Roxbury for Shot at Halvorsen Cup
Wolfpack upsets No. 2 seed en route to championship round.

It took until a power play opportunity in the third period, but it was all the West Morris Central Ice Hockey team needed to notch its spot in the Halvorsen Cup finals.
According to nj.com, Central’s Doug Olcese netted the first of two Central goals 57 seconds into the third period, breaking a scoreless tie against Roxbury in the tournament’s semifinals.
Olcese was joined by Anthony Piombino as the two goal scorers in the game, giving Central a 2-0 semifinal win and chance to play the winner of top seed Montville vs. No. 4 Mendham.

Goalie Tim Polglase had 27 saves on the night to preserve the shutout victory, nj.com reported.
The Halvorsen Cup finals will be held at Mennen Arena at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19.
