Kindness Garden Opens In Madison (PHOTOS)
Cole Park has a new place to relax, reflect and seek motivation.
MADISON, NJ - After two years, Madison High School student Bethany Bradshaw's Madison NJ Rocks Facebook group has turned their cyber space to connect and build community into a new space to relax, reflect and seek motivation with the opening of a Kindness Garden in Cole Park.
According to officials, the garden was developed to the response to the enthusiastic Madison NJ Rocks Facebook group where they expressed interest in creating one. This was an extension of the Facebook group previously painting rocks, tagging them with #MadisonNJRocks on the back and hiding them around town.
When discovered, group members shared them via social media.

The Kindness Garden was formed as part of Bradshaw's "Take Action" project for her Girl Scout Silver Award. Members of the Facebook group and the greater community wrote kind and inspiring messages onto the rocks at Bottle Hill Day and those rocks were used to create the garden. Residents were also invited to paint a heart on the bench to represent the community commitment to kindness across Madison.
