Avery Koep, a 2010 graduate of now playing goalkeeper at Franklin & Marshall, has been named Division III Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 27 by womensfieldhockey.com.
A sophomore, Koep posted her third shutout of the season for the Diplomats with three saves in a 4-0 win over McDaniel, before totaling a season-high eight stops in a 5-1 victory against No. 2-ranked Ursinus.
Franklin & Marshall, in Lancaster, Pa., is ranked third nationally in Division III.
