Madison Wins Battle of Freedom Unbeatens

The Dodgers didn't play their best game of the season but they did grind out a 35-28 win over previously unbeaten Lenape Valley on the road in a rematch both teams were looking forward to Friday evening. Madison faced off against Lenape Valley last October when both teams were undefeated and handed the Patriots a 42-0 setback. This one wasn't as easy, but the result was the same as Lenape Valley fell to 5-1 and Madison shifted to 5-0 with its 18th straight triumph.

IN SHORT 

Carson Lassiter rushed for three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score late in the fourth quarter, and Shone Register added two scores. Lassiter also ran for a two-point conversion, and Justin Goodwin had 58 yards on 10 carries. Goodwin also broke up a pass in the end zone on fourth down on the Patriots' final drive to seal the victory.
