BOE Approves Art Teacher, Substitute Appointments
Other appointments, resignations part of personnel matters on back-to-school checklist.

The approved a number of personnel items on the agenda at work session meeting this week.
Extracurricular Appointments/Revisions as per the recommendation of Superintendent Michael Rossi for the 2011-12 school year:
- Vito Luppino, revise appointment as football assistant coach, for a stipend of $6,867;
- Emilie Rosalino, rescind as high school swim coach;
- Diane Fastiggi, approve as Senior Class advisor, for a stipend of $2,514.
The Board approved District Substitutes as per Rossi's recommendation for the 2011-12 school year:

- John Conheeney, Teacher/Teacher Assistant, $90/day, $80/day;
- Stephen Barrow, Teacher/Teacher Assistant, $90/day, $80/day;
- Darrell Trimble; Teacher/Teacher Assistant, $90/day, $80/day;
- Peter Murphy, Teacher/Teacher Assistant, $90/day, $80/day;
- Robert Jennings, Teacher/Teacher Assistant, $90/day, $80/day;
- Ellen Jennings, Secretarial, $16/hour;
- Venton Little, Custodian/Grounds, $16/hour.
The panel approved the revised appointment of art teacher Shannon Harris at a salary of $48,045. Shaina Mirsky was approved as Leave Replacement/Science Teacher (replacing Nancy Hill) at , at $110/day, days 1-40, effective Sept. 1 until on or about Oct. 15. Mirsky is being relieved of her Teacher Assistant duties until Hill returns to work and then she will resume her TA duties.
Also, the panel approved the resignation of Christina Repass, Speech Teacher, , effective Oct. 28.

Home instruction work for the 2011-12 school year was approved for
Debbie Botto for a total of 2 hours/week, Sept. 6, at $46/hour, and for
Christina Repass, speech-language therapy services, for 2 hours/week, also at $46/hour.
The Board approved placement and transportation costs for one resident special education pupil at Briarwood School, Florham Park, for the 2011-12 school year, at a cost of $64,492.
