Madison Nonprofit Appoints Member To Asian American Commission
The ATNJ Education Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to voter education, appointed Board Trustee member Samantha Bobila.

MADISON, NJ — Samantha Bobila, a board trustee for the ATNJ Education Fund (ATNJEF) in Madison, has been appointed to the New Jersey Asian American and Pacific Islander Commission.
The formation of this Commission follows the 2020 Census, which revealed that New Jersey has the fourth-largest Asian American population in the country. New Jersey has over 1.05 million Asian Americans, with a 44 percent increase since the last Census.
Governor Phil Murphy also signed legislation earlier this year requiring AAPI history to be taught in grades K-12, making New Jersey the second state to do so.

“It is a true honor to serve on the Asian American Pacific Islander Commission. Thank you Governor Murphy for your support of this commission. I hope to honor my fellow Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and use my voice and this platform in a way that uplifts and amplifies the hard work and contributions of the AAPI community,” Bobila said.
The ATNJ Education Fund is dedicated to providing voter education and expanding access to New Jerseyans who have difficulty voting on election day, such as those who lack transportation, have accessibility needs, or cannot take time off from work.
ATNJEF has been a driving force in educating voters in New Jersey on correctly returning VBM ballots to avoid rejections through a variety of initiatives, including their website.
