MBPD Chief Named President Of County Police Chief Association

Chief Darren Dachisen is the second in his family to hold the position.

MADISON, NJ — Madison Police Chief Darren Dachisen was sworn in as the president of the Morris County Police Chiefs Association, the second in his family to hold the position.

Dachisen and his father are the second father/son duo to be president of the organization. The first were Chief Charles H. McCoy from Boonton in 1958 and his son Chief Charles F. McCoy Chief of Mountain Lakes in 1997.

Four Dachisen family members have served as police chiefs in Morris County.

The Morris County Police Chiefs Association works to unify police departments around the county and promote greater efficiency and effectiveness, their website says.
