Trapped Raven Rescued By Madison Responders (Photos)
The young bird was caught in twine for several days, officials said.
MADISON, NJ - A snared raven was rescued thanks for some quick actions of the Madison Fire Department along with St. Hubert’s, Raptor Trust and Holt Construction.
According to authorities, on Saturday, May 25 a young raven was rescued from a nest on the 4th floor of Allergan’s office building in Giralda Farms. The bird’s leg had been caught in twine for the past two or three days. Responders were able to use a construction crane to reach the trapped bird and safely remove it.
The young raven was taken to Raptor Trust where it will be evaluated and when stronger and healthier be released. The Raptor Trust is a wild bird rehabilitation center located in the Millington section of Long Hill Township.
