$1K Stolen During Armed Robbery At Mahwah's Bolla Market: Police

A New York man faces multiple charges after he flashed a gun at an employee before taking off with more than $1,000 in cash, police said.

MAHWAH, NJ — An Airmont, New York man faces four charges after an armed robbery at a Mahwah store, police said.

Police responded to Bolla Market on Dec. 10 at 8:20 p.m. on reports of an armed robbery. However, the suspect, later identified as Giacomio Frascone, had already fled the scene.

An investigation revealed that Frascone approached an employee at the service counter, flashed a gun in his waistband and demanded cash. The employee emptied the cash drawer and Frascone fled with over $1,000 police said.

Frascone was located on Dec. 13, with assistance from the Ramapo, New York, police department.

He was arrested and charged with the following: robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes to use against another and theft.

Frascone was lodged in the Rockland County Jail pending extradition to Bergen County, police said.
