• New Jersey Lottery Sees Surge: Over $10,000 Prizes Won by 22 Players in One Week (wrat.com) — Several New Jersey Lottery and Powerball tickets worth $50,000 to $500,000 were sold right in Mahwah, including winners at Bolla on Route 17, Fardale Deli & Mini Mart, and the 7-Eleven on Franklin Turnpike. Overall, 22 players statewide won at least $10,000 in one week, but Mahwah residents had an especially lucky streak at local stores.
   

• 2026 Seitz Award winner (udel.edu) — A Mahwah native, Ben Danlasky, has been honored with the University of Delaware's 2026 Seitz Award for his leadership and mentorship on campus. He credits support from family, friends, and peers for inspiring his service-focused roles and plans to put the scholarship toward his education and future law school ambitions.
