2 Stabbed In Bergen County, Attempted Murder Charges Filed

NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ — Two women face attempted murder charges after two people were stabbed in North Arlington on Wednesday.

North Arlington police went to 2 Ridge Rd. at 7:39 a.m. on Wednesday to find that a 43-year-old woman had been stabbed after an altercation, the Bergen County Prosecutor said.

During that same altercation, a 20-year-old man was also stabbed, prosecutors said.

The female victim was taken to an area hospital, where she is currently being treated. The 20-year-old was also taken to a nearby hospital, but has since been released.

An investigation began soon after, and prosecutors announced charges against Briana Bueso, of Brooklyn, New York, and Keyana Coates, of Newark. The investigation found that Bueso and Coates "attacked the 43-year-old victim and Coates stabbed the victim with a knife."

"During the altercation, Coates also stabbed the 20-year-old male victim," prosecutors added.

They are both charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, prosecutors said.
