Bergen Fashion Angels Recycle Paper Into Dresses
These textiles literally include text. And they are completely wearable.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Some local students have turned recycling papers into the latest fashions.
Fashionistas from the Academy of Holy Angels in Demarest created a collection of dresses made from recycled paper products ranging from plates to newspapers.
The dresses are worn by opening up a seam and almost wrapping them around someone.

"The students felt this project would represent recycling and limiting waste, two goals of the School Sisters of Notre Dame," said Kathryn Biskup, an art teacher and moderator of the school's Fashion Angels Club.
Students created the dresses in just one day, Biskup said.

The students brought all of the recycled materials used to make the dresses from home.
The club also designs and creates clothes that are sold in the school store.
