Bergen Native, 22, Dies In Las Vegas Motorcycle Crash
Kevin Holdefehr was a lover of the outdoors and trained in equestrian riding, his family said. His funeral is Monday in Upper Saddle River.
LAS VEGAS — A 22-year-old Bergen County native and lover of the outdoors died after a motorcycle crash in Las Vegas, police and his obituary confirmed.
Kevin Bisgrove Holdefehr was driving his motorcycle early the morning of March 26 and hit a car that had turned out of a private driveway, according to Vegas' 8NewsNow. First responders took him to a local hospital, where he died, the news station reported. Police are still investigating the crash.
Holdefehr was born in Ridgewood and grew up in Allendale, his obituary at Vander Plaat Funeral Home said.

He went to Northern Highlands Regional High School before moving to Montana and finishing school there. It was there he began nurturing a love for the outdoors, met his beloved horse Buddy, and trained in Equestrian Vaulting, according to the obituary.
"Kevin enjoyed adventure at every turn," his obituary states. "He was fearless in his pursuit of rock climbing, snowboarding, and heliboarding to name a few. He found great joy in riding his motorcycle."

Holdefehr moved to Las Vegas in 2020 and had been recently promoted at REI, where he worked as a Technical Specialist, according to the obituary.
"He had a true love for the employees at REI both in Paramus and Las Vegas," the obituary states. "Kevin took great pride in his work and relished being a part of the REI family."
Surviving him are his parents, Christine Bisgrove and Daniel Holdefehr Jr., his brother Bailey, and grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins on both coasts, according to the obituary.
A funeral mass for Holdefehr is Monday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m. It will be held at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07508.
A memorial fund is set up at the Community Foundation of New Jersey in Holdefehr's name.
