This week marked the first time that retirees from the "steroid" era of major league baseball were qualified to be elected to the Hall of Fame. None were selected. Good.
Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sossa etc have stained baseball with an indelible mark for ever--they are cheaters and in my view their records do not matter nor should they EVER be included into the Hallowed Hall of Baseball Immortality. Equally at blame are the players from this era which refused to allow adequate testing to find the cheaters, because of this there is suspicion for everyone in Major League Baseball may have cheaters. This also explains why fan favorites like Mike Piazza and Craig Biggio didn't make it either.

It's actually true that NO ONE deserved to be voted in this time. We should note that just this week commissioner Bud "Light" Selig announced that players would undergo random testing for Human Growth Hormones and other Physically Enhancing Drugs....nice job Bud only about 15-20 years too late.

When I first listened to the this press conference the first thing I did was find a Q-tip to clean my ears, I could not believe what I was hearing. The Q-tip didn't help it was indeed the latest episode of the New York Jets Circus that was on the air. I have never seen an area team be so underwhelming and yet get so much media coverage as Gang Green.
Let me see if I get this right. Coordinators Sparano and Pettine are not coming back, Westie on Special Teams is retiring.......Lo and behold Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez are returning!!!!!!!! Rex had the audacity to term his performance as starting over as if 4 years of awful football earned him this right.
The Jets have been reprehensible in the way they have mistreated Tim Tebow and now that GM Mike Tannebaum has been fired also, Woody Johnson the owner will allow Rex Ryan the coach to have input on the new GM who will eventually be Rex's boss? Confused? Me too....One added perk to being a New York Giants fan is that you are not a New York Jets fan...Oh, the pain!
