Good News in Area Real Estate

News FLASH from the New Jersey MLS --- Area real estate sales are all positive across the board and in all categories.

Not only are the numbers UP, they are up "considerably in April 2013 vs. the same time last year."

This is a broad base increase and not just in one or two categories of home sales.

According to the New Jersey MLS:

Entire NJMLS (all categories, all areas):

Solds +18.5% | Median Sale Price  +8.5% | Under Contracts +22.2.% | Actives -19.1%

Single Family Homes (all areas):   

Solds +16.8% | Median Sale Price +13.2% | Under Contracts +21.9% | Actives -21.3%

Condo/Coop/Twh (all areas):

Solds +32.1% | Median Sale Price -1.6% | Under Contracts +30.2% | Year End Actives -24.4%

The statistics are based on actual area listings on the NJMLS and are a direct indication that real estate is on the move. The combination of low inventory ( check the Actives numbers above), proper pricing and low interest rates have buyers out in large numbers and seller's are able to move their homes because of the lack of inventory.
