SPRING Has SPRUNG for Area Real Estate

Spring is here and the Real Estate market is already showing signs of improvement over the same time last year.

Low inventory and competitive pricing are proving to be the key to unlocking the door to sales. This combined with the lowest interest rates in decades have buyers out shopping the market and they are making offers. It is no longer a "wait and see" what happens market. Homes that are priced correctly and in a good location are moving.

In Mahwah, for example, 69 single family homes are on the market. In the last 2 weeks, 11 of those homes have accepted offers and are currently in attorney review. Since January, an additional 19 homes have gone "under contract" and 14 homes have SOLD during this time period.

Warren Buffet on CNBC this morning stated, " It's a good time to buy a home. Buying a home is a very wise investment at this time." http://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000075412

Bloomberg today states, "Purchases of new homes surged in January by the most in two decades... signs of a rebound in U.S. economic growth at the start of 2013." http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-02-26/new-home-sales-in-u-s-surge-in-january-to-highest-since-2008.html
