Ciattarelli To Meet With Ramapo College Students In Mahwah

The gubernatorial candidate will meet with students in Mahwah and Paterson. He is likely to discuss student debt and vocational training.

MAHWAH, NJ — Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli is set to visit Bergen and Passaic Counties on Thursday, where he will meet with students from Ramapo College and the HoHoKus School of Trade and Technical Science.

According to his campaign, Ciattarelli will discuss student debt, and make a pitch for the importance of vocational and technical training.

A policy discussion with students from Ramapo College is scheduled for Thursday morning at Continental Soldiers Park, while an early afternoon meeting with students at HoHoKus is in Paterson.

These stops come two days after the first gubernatorial debate between Ciattarelli and Gov. Phil Murphy.

A recent Monmouth poll puts Murphy over Ciattarelli by 13 points at 51 percent to 38 percent. The recent poll is a slight change over the August poll, when voters favored Murphy by 52 percent to 36 percent, overall.

But, as Matt Friedman reported in his Politico newsletter Thursday morning, a Stockton poll released this week has Murphy's lead at nine points, at a mark of 50 percent to 41 percent.
