Infinite Motion Performing Arts Academy Grand Opening

Infinite Motion Performing Arts Academy has drawn back its curtains and begun its 2011-2012 season in Mahwah after a highly anticipated, much-talked about start, with already closed out classes in its 1^st year and continuing to be in Motion!  

IMPAA’s official Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 3:00PM. Mayor John DaPuzzo will be in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Festivities will begin at 2:30PM with sweets and treats, followed by dancing “feets” as Master choreographer Derek Mitchell of Broadway Dance Center & “So You Think You Can Dance” UK will lead an open class to current students and the public. He will begin at 3:30PM-5:00PM for ages 12+ ($50), and then 5:00PM-6:00PM for ages 8-11 ($45).  

Building on over 15 years of experience and education, Owners/Directors Colleen Cross and Rosanne Renda are reinventing dance instruction and the performing arts, positioning itself as one of the leading studios to enroll at.

The Academy redefines performing arts training by offering a diverse curriculum in dance, theatre and voice that is designed for each individual student and enriches and promotes growth to achieve performing arts excellence.   “We are so happy and excited to be back in Mahwah! It has been so wonderful to see many old faces and lots of new ones. Everyone has been so supportive and we look forward to sharing our love for the performing arts with all of our Infinite Motion families” says Renda.  

In addition to already having a strong following, previous studio owners Cross and Renda were voted nationally as having one of the “Top 50 Studios on the Move” in 2006 by Dance Teacher and Dance Spirit Magazines, and were also selected as a “Studio Above and Beyond Dance” by Dance Magazine. Their dedication, philosophy, charisma and understanding of performing arts excellence keeps Infinite Motion moving and breaking the molds of traditional studios.  

IMPAA offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, acting, singing and more. Classes and programs are available for children beginning at age 3 up through teen and adult.
