"New Jersey Baseball: 1855-1870" with John Zinn

New Jersey base ball (two words in those days) clubs played an important part in the early days of the national pastime. John Zinn will focus on the game's beginnings in New Jersey, prominent players and clubs, and the differences from today's game such as playing the fieled without gloves. Currently John Zinn serves as Chairman of the Board of New Jersey Historical Society. John has been active in the founding of New Jersey's third vintage base ball team, the Newark Eureka. He is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research. No registration is necessary. Seats are one a "first come" basis.
