No Rain On This Parade: Fireworks And Other Mahwah Day Festivities Rescheduled Once More

The Mahwah Day events, including fireworks, a dog show, live music, and parade, will now be held later this month. See details below.

MAHWAH, NJ — Several severely stormy Saturdays in a row have really put a damper on community activities in the Northeast, forcing activities to be rescheduled and rescheduled again.

But Mahwah officials aren't going to let it rain out their parade.

This past Tuesday, Mahwah officials announced that the Mahwah Day festivities and parade, already rescheduled from September due to stormy weather, will now be held on the last Saturday of this month. Originally, they were rescheduled for this Saturday, but a nor'easter may be headed this way.

The festivities on Saturday, Oct. 28 will include live music, food, a dog show, and more.

"Mahwah Day is now Saturday, October 28!" the town announced Tuesday. "The Kick-off Parade starts at 12 p.m. at Fire Co 1 and heads down East Ramapo Avenue, and follow the crowd to Commodore Perry Field for a fun-filled day."

The day will include food, rides for all ages, carnival games, entertainment throughout the day, "and all-around great time with neighbors and friends!"

Live bands will begin playing on the main stage from 12:30pm.

The popular Dog Show returns at 1:30 p.m. with registration starting at 12:30 p.m.

The grand finale of Mahwah Day is the Fireworks Spectacular sponsored by Ramsey Auto at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Parking and shuttle buses will run from Lincoln Tech on McKee drive off of Island Road to Mahwah Day throughout the day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., the town says.

They noted, "Come out and support our great community organizations, local businesses, and enjoy an absolutely incredible day! See you at MAHWAH DAY!!"
