North Jersey Five Guys The 1st In U.S. To Sell Wine, Hard Seltzer

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — A burger, french fries and a cold beer. Few things in American life feel more nostalgic than that trio, and now Five Guys is serving it up.

The beloved burger chain is now serving a selection of beer and wine at their American Dream location in East Rutherford in addition to their standard menu.

The American Dream location isn't the first Five Guys in the country to serve beer, but it is the first location to serve wine and hard seltzers, according to a company spokesperson.

"While most of our stores do not offer alcohol, there are a handful throughout the country that sell beer," the spokesperson tells Patch.

According to the company, the American Dream location is one of the biggest Five Guys restaurants in the country.

The restaurant is located in the Parks Court on Level 2 of the mall, and that's also where all alcoholic beverages sold at Five Guys will be consumed, as patrons can't take their beer or wine to-go.
