Former Mahwah Fire Chief Edward Wysocki Dies At 91
Mahwah Fire Company No. 2 announced the passing of Edward Wysocki on Facebook Tuesday. He is the late father of Mayor-elect Jim Wysocki.
MAHWAH, NJ — Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home and Mahwah Fire Company No. 2 announced the death of Edward T. Wysocki this week.
Wysocki, the late father of Mayor-elect Jim Wysocki, served as Fire Chief from 1971 to 1973, and was a member of Company 2 since 1959. His son, Jim, in addition to being mayor-elect, is a current firefight with Company 2.
According to a Facebook post from the department, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a scheduled viewing will be for family only. A memorial will be held at a later date.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time," the department wrote.
