Former Mahwah Skier Ranked In Top 20 Nationally
Myles Frendel began skiing when he was 2. He is one of the best mogul skiers in the United States.
MAHWAH, NJ - Myles Frendel begins another competitive season ranked among the top skiers in the United States.
Frendel attended Mahwah High School before moving to Killington, Vt. to focus full-time on skiing. He is ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in the single and dual moguls among East Coast competitors and 25th in the nation in the dual moguls.
Frendel began skiing when he was 2. His father Dave was a Pro Mogul Tour competitor in the 1980s and 1990s. Frendel’s first competition was at Okemo Resort when he was 7.

“I remember like it was yesterday,” Frendel said. “I fell in love with the sport right then.”
Frendel was a member of the Mountain Creek Freestyle Team until he was 12. He now skis full time.

“One thing that is especially unique about mogul skiing is that there is no perfect run. In other sports, you can perform or play in an absolute flawless manner. In mogul skiing that does not exist,” Frendel said. “Everyone is always trying to improve, get better, and push the sport forward. And that’s what I love about it.”
