Fort Lee Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child: Prosecutor

The Bergen County Prosecutor announced charges against a Fort Lee man said to have sexually assaulted a child under 13-years-old.

FORT LEE, NJ — A Fort Lee man faces sexual assault and child endangerment charges after a Bergen County Prosecutor's Office investigation found that he sexually assaulted a child under 13, prosecutors announced.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Fort Lee Police Department regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child on Tuesday. An investigation by those agencies found that Yupang Ip had sexually assaulted the child, and he was arrested and charged the same day.

He is charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault by sexual contact, and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child by sexual conduct. Ip was taken to Bergen County Jail, where he awaits a first appearance in court.
