Funeral For Michael Anthony De Venio, 24, Is Thursday
De Venio, of Lyndhurst, was a top football player at Paramus Catholic

Michael Anthony De Venio, 24, died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 16.
He was a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst. He was a graduate of Paramus Catholic High School's Class of 2010, where he enjoyed playing football.

He was a car salesman for Nissan of Hawthorne.
He survived by his father, John De Venio; mother, Mary (nee Melofchik) De Venio; stepfather, Nicholas De Gregorio; brothers, Nicholas and John; sister, Marissa; grandmother, Mary; nieces and nephews, Nico, Lila, Mia, Nate, and Francis; and girlfriend, Samantha Spagnola.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, John De Venio and Robert and Mary Melofchik.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. The funeral will be at the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's North Jersey chapter at 785 Springfield Ave., in Summit, NJ 07901.
A GoFundMe page was setup to help De Venio's family pay for the funeral. Nearly $24,000 was donated as of Tuesday night.
