George Ervin Appointed To Fill Vacant Mahwah Council Seat

Former Councilwoman, and freeholder-elect, Mary Amoroso resigned from the council last month.

MAHWAH, N.J. — George Ervin, a candidate for Township Council this year, was appointed this week to fill the seat vacated by freeholder-elect Mary Amoroso.

Amoroso submitted her resignation, Nov. 29, the same day that councilman-elect Jonathan Marcus declined to accept his seat for personal reasons.

Ervin is a 25-year township resident and a self-employed contractor.
