Javelin Injures Official At Ramapo Track Meet
A field judge was struck by a javelin throw during the weekend's track and field competition at Ramapo College.

An official was struck in the heel by an itinerant javelin on Saturday during a track and field meet at Ramapo College’s Roadrunner Invitational, according to a report by NorthJersey.com.
The victim, 57--year-old Dan Klice of Olean, NY, saw the javelin coming towards him and attempted to dodge, the report states.
He fell as he was backing away, throwing his legs up into the air, and that was when the spear planted itself in his left heel, according to the report.

Firefighters on the scene sawed the javelin to a shorter length before loading him onto the ambulance, according to the report.
