DID YOU KNOW?

Poet patriot Joyce Kilmer dedicated some of his best-known poetry to three of the most important women in his life. He dedicated the famous poem "Trees" (written in his Mahwah house on February 2, 1913) to his mother-in-law, Ada Foster Murray Mills. He dedicated his book "Trees and Other Poems" the following year to his mother, Annie Kilburn Kilmer. And before that he dedicated his first book of poetry "Summer of Love" to his wife, Aline.
