DID YOU KNOW?
Poet patriot Joyce Kilmer's first job after college graduation was as an English and Latin teacher in Morristown High School. At the end of his first year he was offered principalships in three other schools. But he decided to become a fulltime writer and moved with his wife, Aline, and first son, Kenton, to New York City, where he eventually would wind up at The New York Times as a poet, critic, book reviewer and reporter.
