Mahwah 9/11 Memorial Commemorates 20th Anniversary

MAHWAH, NJ — Mahwah will host a 9/11 memorial ceremony this weekend, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Lisa DiGiulio Tranquility Park, located at Old Station Lane and East Ramapo Avenue.

"Join together with your neighbors to remember and honor the lives lost in the September 11th attacks," the event description reads.

Members of the Mahwah Fire Department were out this week placing 403 flags at the park, honoring the first responders who died in the attacks.
