MAHWAH, NJ — A local pet services business is organizing a pet food drive to help families, and their pets, that have been impacted by COVID-19.

Mahwah Veterinarian Groom & Board will donate pet food to pet owners who have lost their jobs and are struggling to buy food for their animals. They are also seeking community donations.

"We are worried that our furry friends may be deprived of meals due to their owners' financial struggles," said managing partner Joe Owens, in an email.

Contactless donations will be accepted at the Groom & Board facility daily, 346 Forest Rd. Donors can also drop off food directly to the Center for Food Action on Monday, Tuesday or Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
