Mahwah DPW Says They Are Prepared to Combat Wednesday's Snow as Township is Placed Under 'Winter Storm Warning'
Mahwah's Department of Public Works has salt ready, along with trucks and snow plows.

Although the Township of Mahwah has been placed under the National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning advisory, Mahwah officials say they are prepared.
“The storm could get us or not,” said one Mahwah Department of Public Works official, who said the DPW is getting ready incase it does.
The DPW official said trucks and snow plows are all set and salt is lined up for Wednesday’s winter storm, which is supposed to accumulate 6 to 10 inches of snow throughout the northern part of the state.

Residents are urged to travel safely, as the storm is scheduled to hit on one of the busiest days of travel.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM WEDNESDAY TO 7 AM EST THURSDAY.
* LOCATIONS...INTERIOR PORTIONS OF THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY AND NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY.
* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 10 INCHES.
* TIMING...A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND SNOW WEDNESDAY MORNING WILL CHANGE TO ALL SNOW BY NOONTIME WEDNESDAY.
* IMPACTS...THE SNOWFALL WILL SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT HOLIDAY TRAVEL...MAKING DRIVING DANGEROUS AT TIMES.
