Mahwah Man Stole Lobster Tails, Safe From Restaurant: Police

Breaking: Clark Judge, 49, admitted burglarizing J&R Lobster & Seafood, police said.

MAHWAH, NJ — A township man was arrested for stealing $500 and lobster tails from a New York restaurant recently, police announced.

Clark Judge, 49, was charged with possession of stolen property after police investigated a burglary Saturday at J&R Lobster & Seafood in Ramapo, New York, said Mahwah Police Chief James Batelli.

Police found blood evidence at the crime scene where a safe with $500 inside and several cases of lobster tails were taken, Batelli said.

Police found Judge after they identified a vehicle in connection with the burglary. Police found the vehicle on First Street in Mahwah where Judge was staying, the chief said.

Police spoke with Judge at his home where he admitted to burglarizing the restaurant and told police the items were in the home's garage, Batelli said.

In addition to the criminal charges, Judge had a warrant out for unpaid child support by the Morris County Sheriff and an outstanding warrant out of Raritan.

Judge was taken to the Morris County Jail where he is awaiting extradition to Ramapo.

Mahwah Police Lt. Scot Cherven, Detective Eric Larsen and Officer Chris Fasulo lead the Mahwah Police Department's investigation.

Batelli commended the officers' investigation of the burglary.
