MAHWAH, NJ — The Mahwah Museum has been closed both because of the coronavirus, and as part of the museum's annual schedule.

July and August are closed yearly for the museum to update exhibits, so it will not be opening despite given clearance to do so on Thursday.

However, a Wednesday news release from the museum announced plans for a September reopening, complete with new and updated exhibits.

Since the museum announced it would be closing doors due to COVID-19 in March, some programs were shifted online, including the 105th birthday celebration for Les Paul in June.

According to the release, the Les Paul exhibit will return to the museum in September, as will a Ramapo College exhibit and the Donald Cooper Model Railroad exhibits.
