The Mahwah real estate market slowed down in October, when the number of single family homes that sold dipped to only 9. Townhouses/condos that sold went down from 21 in September to 18 in October. Here are the numbers for October, according to the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service.
Single-family homes – October 2013 - 9 sales
The NJMLS reports 9 single family homes sold in Mahwah in October. Of the homes that sold, the average list price was $646,511 and the average sold price was $634,333, which means that homes sold for approximately 98.1% of their list price. The average number of days on market for homes that sold was 34, down from 64 in September.
Condos/Townhouses – October 2013 - 18 sales
Eighteen condominium/townhouse units sold in October, at an average list price of $316,000 and an average sold price of $290,500. The sale-price-to-list-price ratio was 98.3%. The units that sold averaged 57 days on the market.
