Mahwah Student, College Board National Recognition Program Winner

MAHWAH, NJ — A Mahwah High School student recently garnered major recognition for their academic achievement.
Madison C. Lawrence, Mahwah High School class of 2021, was selected as a winner of the College Board National African American Recognition Program, the school announced in a news release.
According to the release, the invitation for the CBRP is extended to students who scored in the top 2.5 percent of PSAT or NMSQT test takers who identify as one or more of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, or attend school in a rural area, or are from a small town.

This year, the Jackie Robinson Foundation is serving as an adviser to the winners of the CBRP African American Recognition Program, according to the College Board website.
