Multiple items were taken from a home in Fort Lee last week during a burglary, police said.

FORT LEE, NJ — Three people were arrested in connection with a Fort Lee home burglary last week in which multiple items were stolen, police Capt. Edward Young said Monday.

Police responded to the home Wednesday in the area of Tremont Avenue and Oleri Terrace, after being advised that the homeowner, who was not home at the time, spotted an unknown man inside his home on his security system, Young said.

Upon arrival, officers saw two people exiting the home who tried to run away — one was quickly apprehended, while the other cleared out, police said.
