NJ Transit Station In Mahwah Gets Facelift: See What It Looks Like Now
NJ Transit has finished exterior renovations to Mahwah station in Bergen County, they said Monday.

MAHWAH, NJ — Exterior renovations at Mahwah Station are complete, NJ Transit said Monday.
The company said they replaced the station roof, a retaining wall, and a stairway.
They also installed new bike racks, information displays, and railings, and relocated electrical equipment, they said.

Additional upgrades included stucco and brick repairs, lighting upgrades, improved site drainage, a new concrete apron, and refreshed landscaping, they said.
They referred to the changes as "safety and aesthetic upgrades that improve both functionality and structural integrity."

“With exterior upgrades now in place, Mahwah Station is already offering our customers a safer, more welcoming and more inviting space,” said the agency's president and CEO, Kris Kolluri. “It’s just one example of over 20 NJ Transit station projects currently in progress, all aimed at strengthening the customer experience through thoughtful, long-term investment.”
Train service was not interrupted during the upgrades, the agency said.
NJ Transit is the country's largest statewide public transportation system and third largest transit system in the country, with 165 train stations and 62 light rail stations. They make 925,000 weekday trips on 263 bus routes, 12 commuter rail lines, three light rail lines, and through paratransit service, they said.
