Nonna’s Named Favorite Italian Restaurant

Mahwah Pizza Master and Sonny and Tony's Get Honorable Mentions

This week, Patch ran its first . The votes are in, and won, with 51 percent of the vote.

“We want to thank everyone who voted for us,” Pete from Nonna’s, said. “We are family owned and operated, and there is a lot of competition in this area, so we appreciate our loyal customers, and the voters!”

Nonna’s, which celebrated it’s second anniversary last month, offers catering, take-out and dinner menus that include pastas, chicken, veal, fish and pizza. “I have been in the pizza business in Mahwah for 10 years,” Pete said. “And, when we opened Nonna’s, we knew choosing good quality ingredients, being consistent and having fair prices would pay off.”

In the Patch Reader’s Choice contest, several honorable mentions went out for the restaurants that had the most positive comments about their businesses.

Patch user fastharry said he was “immediately impressed” with the food at . Maria Cortese said “Mahwah Pizza has friendly service every time I call for delivery or go inside. It's so tasty!! I had a chicken parm. dinner that was out of this world and I just recently tasted the meatball parm hero and it was extra good.” Sal Russo added the food at Mahwah Pizza Master is “just like the Bronx, where I’m from.”

Ann Seidner commented that at “the food is great and the menu has many choices. There are also specials to choose from. We are never disappointed. The wait staff aims to please and they make you feel like family. Always fun and always good.” Hank added “The Sonny and Tony Veal Parmigiana and Linguini and White Clam Sauce never disappoints.”
