3 Incumbents, Challenger Win Mahwah Council Election
Council President Robert Hermansen was not elected to another term.
MAHWAH, NJ — Incumbents Jonathan Wong, George Ervin, and Janet Ariemma, were re-elected to the Township Council Tuesday.
Challenger Robert Ferguson III was also elected.
Incumbent Council President Robert Hermansen lost his re-election bid. Challenger Howard Bader also lost.

Hermansen had been a candidate in the mayoral recall election, but he stepped down, along with two other candidates, so that John Roth could run against incumbent William Laforet alone.
Wong unsuccessfully ran against Laforet and Roth for mayor two years ago.
