Team Campgaw Snowboarders Compete At USASA National Championships

Six members and two coaches from the Team Snowboard Race Team attended the 2012 USASA Snowboarding Nationals at Copper Mountain in Colorado.

The Campgaw snowboarding coaches are Tony Rinaldi of Dumont and Dave Hirschberg of Oradell. Team members who attended the National Championships are Jamie Davidson of Woodland Park (West Paterson), Carlie Capela of Ramsey, Garret Capela of Ramsey, Matt Morgan of Mahwah, Ed Chanod of Ridgewood and Ania Werocsy of Upper Saddle River.

Ed Chanod achieved great success, coming in first place and receiving a Gold Medal in Giant Slalom Alpine Race for 8-9 year olds and Silver medal in Slalom Alpine Race for 8-9 year olds. Dave Hirschberg took home a Silver medal coming in second in the Legend Men series Giant Slalom Alpine event. All of the racers beat their personal goals, competing against the best riders from all over the country.
